by Lindsey Ferrentino
Directed by Trudy Bruner
Newly discharged soldier Jess returns to her Florida hometown after three grueling tours of Afghanistan. She brings with her not only vivid memories of the war, but painful burns that have left her physically and emotionally scarred. Through the use of virtual reality therapy, Jess builds a breathtaking new world where she can escape from the pain, and begins to restore her relationships, her life, and eventually herself.
Florida native and award-winning playwright Lindsey Ferrentino has been hailed by the New York Times as “a brave playwright of dauntless conviction,” producing complex, humorous, and intriguing plays that illustrate everyday lives in a daunting world.

We will reduce the number of tickets sold each showtime for Hello, Dolly!, Ugly Lies the Bone, Matilda the Musical, A Class Act, and A Raisin in the Sun. We plan to fully seat the theatre beginning with Beauty and the Beast.
